Allah made Easy #1

My journey probably began shortly before I drafted this blog posts title on Feb 18, 2015. Alhamdulillah, today I will convert that idea into a blog series.

This series will consist of a short and concise description of a dream + hadith +dua, what some people say about me + a beautiful dua and lastly, my Tawakkul journey. That’s all I have for now but Inshallah, I will add additional posts accordingly.

A Dream + Hadith + DUA

Today, I woke up to a beautiful dream with inshallah a beautiful meaning.

Anyone who knows me, knows I dream a lot and Allah, Alhamdulillah has blessed me with some true dream and similarly, he has made my enemies visible to me through my dreams. I know its sounds surreal but I honestly feel so blessed with this opportunity and I am immensely thankful.

Ash-Shatbi رحمه الله says regarding this, “Benefit of the dream in giving the believer a glad tiding or warning, not in legislation and judgement or rulings.”

This morning, I had a short and concise dream. In this dream, I was helping a blind person. The blind person I was helping was known. He was a guy who goes to the same institution as me, I have never spoken to him or anything and I understand my subconscious assigning that role of the blind person to the only blind person I know. So, in this dream, I only recall giving him water and helping him walk. Period. I woke up mystified and I did what I always do, went straight for google. I didn’t find anything regarding a blind person, but there was mention of committing a good deed like helping others. But what really stood out is I gave the blind man water and according to the Dream Interpreter Ibn Sirin: A water carrier in a dream represents a gnostic who heals the illness of people’s hearts with his knowledge, love and wisdom and the meaning of walking in a dream implies an expression of meekness and submissiveness before one’s Lord.

I called my mom, who is obviously more knowledgeable than me and told her. Upon telling her, she mentioned that the blind guys I know that was in my dream was a representation of someone in my life. Obviously. And she mentioned the person wasn’t Jahil or ignorant but rather blind.  I was quick to remember an unforgettable ayah in Surah Baqarah as well as plenty of others surahs. Perhaps this person I helped in my dream is the “Deaf, dumb and blind” people mentioned in the Quran.

I was sooooo overwhelmed with happiness as I prayed and pray that Allah uses me to guide people to his beautiful religion. Then, I recalled when I took a Dua etiquette course called Visionaire in Ramadan 2014. One of my 6 Visionaire duaas was:

Ya Khaliq, Ya Wahab, equip me with sincere beneficial knowledge so that I can call to your religion with wisdom and beautiful preaching. – Zainab :)
