Subhanallah. Alhamdulillah. Allahu Akbar.
Alhamdulillah because of Islam, I am either your sister in Islam or in humanity. Subhanallah, many people simply do not have the capacity to contemplate this reality.
A few days ago, at work, a new temporary worker from Lebanon walked in and me being the very understanding person I am, I understood if it’s your first time in Canada despite knowing a little English here and there. I understand why someone wouldn’t want to come alone to an office this time of year. By the will of Allah, this individual came with a less patient person. Witnesses to this were a couple in my waiting room.
Upon hearing the earful (p.s no vulgar speech was said) that this guys friend/relative/roommate gave one of our employees, the wife decided to make a gun related joke about these guys as soon as the walked out. And I’m thinking NO. NO. NO!!! WHAT? I was rather offended for my brothers in Faith because a believer should be in the cause of a believer. I couldn’t fathom how someone who barely knows you would apparently jokingly spit, ‘I hope they don’t have a gun. I hope they don’t go around shooting people.’ I mean seriously. Ummm Do you even know them? How would you know what they are and they aren’t inclined to do? Did you have some sort of exchange to deduce your conclusion? Well, I have news for you: Just because someone reacted badly, just because someone lost their cool and by chance is Muslim doesn’t imply they life ambition is to taking life.
So YES. The media’s agenda is widely met by an audience of weak-minded ignorant beings.
& All I can say is, May Allah, increase us in knowledge to engage in Dawah and in the process combat the widespread ignorant.
